The World’s First Flying Bicycle

Its not science fiction anymore; now you can own a real flying bicycle. Well, if you can dig deep enough into your pocket and pay $45,000. This unique flying bicycle that can fly and run on the road equally well is designed by Hammacher Schlemmer, well-known for brilliant design ideas.

In the air-craft mode it can reach air speed of up to 25 mph at an altitude of 4000 feet and a range of 75 miles on a full tank of gasoline (I have no idea how much the tank takes). The light-weight design features a three-bladed carbon fiber propeller and a high-grade aluminum construction frame (8 1/2′ L x 4′ W x 5′ H.) weighing 75 lbs. When the para-wing is not deployed, the World’s First Flying Bicycle is only 4 feet wide, can ride on city streets and be folded to fit in the trunk of a car.
