Perhaps I’m a bit behind the times here, but for those of you who haven’t gotten your hands on a Raspberry Pi Model B, well… get on it, son. If you have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about, then read on. I’m about to tell you about a credit card sized computer that you can’t live without. If you’re living without it, you just don’t know better yet.
Have you ever wanted a tiny, inexpensive computer to learn programming on? Perhaps you want to dabble with Linux, but not set up a new partition on your current computer, yes? Maybe you just want an inexpensive home theater PC to run a copy of XBMC, right? All of these things and many more are possible using using a $25 computer called, well… I think you get the point. I use it as a home theater computer, and it’s been fantastic, even for 1080P content. So on that note…
If you have the means to do, then I suggest ordering one on Amazon. Unfortunately they jack up the price to around $60 USD, but your other options – such as Newark – have up to a 3 month wait time, so you have to decide if you can wait that long or not. I did, and I regretted it. Once I finally had the thing in my hands, well… let’s just say it’s gotten a lot of hard use, if you know what I mean.
