“The Minimal” backpack is created by Outlier and is a collaboration with Hyperlite Mountain Gear, who created the material the backpack is made out of.
At first glance The Minimal backpack looks like nothing special, it is extremely minimal, hence the name. The genius of this backpack is the material it’s constructed out of, called nonwoven Dyneema.
Nonwoven Dyneema is 10 times stronger than steel yet it weighs as much as a regular thick cloth, it can be folded like a regular piece of cloth, which makes the backpack easily foldable and you can put it in your pocket when not in use. When in use, it can carry bricks (well, at least that’s what the picture shows below), it’s water proof and UV resistant, and comes with adjustable nylon straps. The Minimal backpack comes in white and one size which can hold up to 1,600 cubic inches of stuff.
