Drone racing is an exciting new event that rose with drone prominence. Here is where the the RacerAI comes into the mix.
Right now, it is similar to your regular car racing – in that it requires a driver to control the drone. In the near future however, you may actually see autonomous drones duking it out at the racetrack. Yes, as early as 2023, autonomously flying drones may soon rule the skies – and the racing world.
RacerAI Drone Review
The idea of automation is not simply limited to a drone being able to drive on its own. For it to revolutionize fully the industry, it has to beat experienced drivers in the process.
The RacerAI is an incredibly powerful drone with a singular mission: to beat the human aspect of drone racing. It is a racing drone equipped with supreme instruments. Its crowning jewel is its powerful CPU that can adapt and out-think any operator – in theory, that is.
Design and Specs
For its design, the RacerAI does not follow the typical quadcopter model. It has four propellers for flight and control. Its casing however looks very different. The RacerAI looks more like a stealth bomber jet more than a drone. The arrow-shaped exterior, similar to the stealth jet, gives it an edge when it comes to speed and acceleration. Physically, this beast can already overpower the competition. However, its AI programming is its key factor.
The RacerAI has four cameras mounted on it. This gives it the ability to perceive incoming threats and obstacles, and react accordingly. It has an Nvidia Xavier processor aboard that controls its decision-making capabilities.
With the rise of automated cars, it is only natural that other technological creations follow suit. After all, is it not much easier to sit back and relax instead of controlling the device the entire time? What do you guys think?
