I love water and it happens to be my favorite drink…followed by Pepsi. I try my best to save water where I can and the best method I’ve found so far for showers is to rinse the body to get it wet and then turning off the shower while shampooing and soaping the body. I’ve never calculated how much that saves but I’m certain it’s a significant amount. Of course there are some days when I feel cold and I just stand under the hot water for extended periods of time but not without feeling guilty about it. The Nebia Shower is currently being funded on Kickstarter and is making a big splash.
Unlike your standard shower head, the Nebia atomizes water into millions of tiny droplets with ten times more surface area allowing more water to come in contact with your body while using 70% less water. The average American showers for about eight minutes which equals to approximately 20 gallons of water but that number is only six gallons when using the Nebia Shower.
With this shower head, you will also feel more refreshed and clean when compared to regular showers. The way the water hits your body helps with relaxing the muscles.
An average home of four people in California would save $397 per year and 21 thousand gallons of water per year! If everyone in California made the switch to Nebia, a staggering 203 Billion gallons of water would be saved and a cool $3.9 Billion would be saved in bills! If those numbers don’t impress you, I don’t know what will.
The Nebia Shower will retail for $399 but is currently available for $299 on the Nebia Kickstarter page.
