Could the name be any simpler than the iLuv iMM514 ArtStation Pro? I may not be a fan of the name, or the iPad, but the two things combined is a pretty nice match. I watch a lot of YouTube videos on my crappy Palm Pre phone and my arms do get tired from holding the phone up. I’m sure the iPad users have the same issue from time to time and this is where the iLuv ArtStation Pro comes into play.
The iLuv iMM514 ArtStation Pro turns your iPad into a mini home theater. The ArtStation features a swiveling arm which the iPad can be attached to and you’re able to position the iPad at an optimal viewing angle. It also allows you to switch between landscape and portrait depending on whether you are viewing videos or reading articles.
The base of the ArtStation Pro features a speaker which can also be attached to your iPod should you only want to listen to music. iLuv has also included a remote control to allow the user to skip tracks and adjust the volume.
The idea behind it is kind of cool but it’s just not doing it for me. Why? Well, if you want to watch a movie on your iPad in bed, are you going to put the whole docking station in bed with you? I don’t know about you guys but I’d rather not have a docking station on my lap. If it’s further than a few feet, you won’t even be able to see the screen properly.
That’s my reasoning for not purchasing this. If you want one, it will cost you $169.99.
