Coffee is the thing that makes the world go round, and although travel is awesome, sometimes the worst part about it is not having access to an awesome cup of coffee or amazing espresso. Fortunately for you, that worry no longer has to be top of your list! True to your dreams, you will now be able to make coffee on the go with ease, and you won’t even need to sacrifice the quality.
The Handpresso is exactly what it sounds like, a handheld espresso machine. It makes one espresso at a time and it’s pretty amazing. There are a few different options, each for different circumstances. There are ones for your car, manual ones for when you’re walking, ones for when you’re out on the water, it’s pretty impressive.
There are so many different kinds that it’s impossible to discuss all of them, so instead we’ll focus on the highlights.
For your car, there’s the Handpresso Auto. At $159, it’s a bit pricey but you’re getting what you pay for. Basically these nifty little things plug into your lighter socket and will brew a coffee for you! But, just since you’re in the car it doesn’t mean it’s a larger size. Weighing only under two pounds, this item holds 53ml of water will brew you a coffee in two minutes. That’s impressive. You can use ground coffee or E.S.E coffee pods if that’s more convenient for you—either will work just as well.
The outdoor Handpresso pumps are our favorite. Costing only $99, this one isn’t automized and instead is manual. It’s hardly difficult to use though, so you can save a bit of money and it’s a little easier and more portable than the one for the car. Whereas the Handpressos for the car come only in black, these outdoor manual ones come in a large selection of colors. You can get black or silver, white, blue and silver, pink and silver, or green and silver.
Much like the car ones, you can use the coffee pods or your own ground coffee—either works. You essentially create the pressure manually, add the water and coffee, and out comes an espresso. These are marginally smaller than the car ones, holding around 50ml of water instead of 53—but that doesn’t really make a huge difference.
These little coffee makers are so awesome and are pretty much a dream come true. With ones in all different colors and for different purposes and at different price points, you’re bound to find something that suits you. They’re pretty amazing, and it’s awesome that we finally have something that exists like this. Think of all the coffee you buy out and now think of all the money you could save by making your own on the go—pretty amazing.
