Medical personnel, along with other frontline workers against the Coronavirus epidemic, have been at the epicenter of the action. From taking care of infected patients, risking their own safety to ensure maximum recovery, to doing overtimes and volunteer work – they do it all.
Frontline Appreciation
While these essential personnel have worked tirelessly to combat the Coronavirus over the past few months, the rest of the world have shown their gratitude in various ways. In Italy for example, people do round of applauses from their homes after every hospital shift. While in New York, jets recently flew over the areas to commemorate this seemingly endless conflict against the virus. In Canada, fast food companies offer free food as well as gas discounts to any frontline worker available.
These actions may seem diverse, but they all have a singular reaction in mind – gratitude. A majority of the workforce are currently at home, under lockdowns and quarantines. Most people are indoors, while these frontline workers are out in the field, risking their own health to ensure the rest of the world can live another day.
LED Drone Displays
In other parts of the United States, drones take center stage. Drone light shows have grown in popularity over the past few years. In place of loud, unruly fireworks, drone shows offered a safer alternative with the same dazzling lights that have captivated watchers for centuries.
The drone company Verge Aero provided a number of drone light shows to show appreciation for all the essential workers in the field. Using 140 LED drones, the words #LightItBlue shone over the dark sky. These shows lit up hospitals around the Pennsylvania area, with growing interest to do them in other parts of America.
These drones have certain advantages over their more primal firework counterpart. Drones do not create loud explosions and sounds, last longer in the air, and do not create any smoke. They are a safer alternative, one that may dethrone firework use in the next few years.
