DJI Teasing Possible Mavic 2 Drone Design

The hype is on regarding DJI’s next big thing. DJI, a Chinese technology company, is one of the leading pioneers in drone technology. Their creations both create – and live up – to a lot of hype. This is because of their innovations, quality work, and openness with their market.

One of their biggest selling drones, the Mavic Pro, released in 2016. Its successor is still nowhere in sight, and drone fans are waiting. The past few months built up a lot of hype because of DJI’s event where they unveil their latest creations. Slated to appear around this month, it has been a grueling wait for fans globally. However, plans change, and the showcase was pushed back. The reason for this delay? DJI apparently did not want to rush ingenuity.

DJI’s Mavic 2 Design:

A photo released by the company teasing the ‘next big thing’ started the hype all over again.

An image circulated online displaying a dark drone with a label of Mavic 2 in its wings. Of course, one would safely assume that the drone in question is a prototype, if not the actual thing. The successor to a very successful drone, Mavic 2 promises to focus more on photo imaging. This photo is the first conclusive proof of the drone’s existence. And it may mean that it will be on the market soon.

But as of right now, it is all speculation. For casual fans, think of it as anticipating the release of a sequel movie, or a follow-up album of your favorite band. There is a high wall of standard when it comes to DJI, so it is only natural that they delay to get things right.

A number of things can be speculated over the one single image however. The image shows the drone with what looks like foldable wings. This can give the drone portability, while also being very durable. Another thing to look at is its camera gimbal or support. This can mean that the camera of the drone can switch in and out depending on your needs. This brings a lot of versatility in the hands of photographers, as they can now have one drone with multiple camera capabilities.

Add that to the portability and durability of the folding design, and you have the ultimate camera for the road. But of course, everything is still speculation until DJI officially announces its release.
