In the world of video games, there are plenty of iconic characters. One such character is Agent 47, the protagonist of the Hitman series of games. Since his debut in 2000, he has been gamers’ favorite worldwide. Thanks to his cold, calculating demeanor and his impeccable skills as an assassin, he has become one of the most popular characters in gaming.
And it’s not just gamers who are fans of Agent 47. A whole community of fan artists creates breathtaking works of art featuring the hitman. But today, I will focus on just one artist: myself. I’ll showcase some of my Agent 47 fan art in this gallery.
And for those of you not familiar with Agent 47…
What are the Hitman games, and who is Agent 47?
The Hitman games are a series of stealth action games created by developer IO Interactive. The first game in the series, Hitman: Codename 47, was released in 2000. It follows the story of Agent 47, a genetically-enhanced human clone who is raised and trained to be the perfect assassin.
He is described as “an ethnically-ambiguous man of average height and below average weight.” He has a barcode tattoo on the back of his neck, which is how he got his nickname.
The games see Agent 47 travel to various locations worldwide, carrying out assassinations for different clients. The games are known for their open-ended gameplay, allowing players to approach each mission differently.
I’ve been a fan of the Hitman games since the very first one. I love the mix of stealth and action and the freedom to choose how to approach each mission. And, of course, I love Agent 47 himself. He’s such a fascinating and well-developed character.
What makes Agent 47 such an iconic character?
Many things make Agent 47 an iconic character. First of all, there’s his look. That bald head and barcode tattoo are instantly recognizable. Then there’s his persona. He’s the perfect assassin – calm, cool, and collected. He never shows emotion, and he always gets the job done.
And then there’s his skill set. Agent 47 is a master of disguise and can blend in anywhere. He’s an expert marksman and a lethal hand-to-hand combatant. He’s also brilliant, able to outwit his enemies at every turn.
All these factors combine to make Agent 47 one of the most iconic characters in gaming. And that’s why I love him so much.
Why did I start creating Hitman fan art?
I started creating fan art of Agent 47 about a year ago. Other artists’ work inspired me, and I wanted to paint my interpretations of the character.
My Agent 47 fan art usually features him in his iconic black suit and red tie. I love playing with different lighting effects and shadows to create moody and atmospheric pieces.
I hope you enjoy this selection of my Agent 47 fan art.
Here are a few of my favorite Agent 47 paintings.
In no particular order, here are a few of my favorite Agent 47 paintings I’ve created. The styles and mediums vary, but they all feature the one and only Agent 47.
Closing thoughts

And if you’re interested in seeing more of my fan art, I’ve also painted several pieces of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider video games. She’s my second favorite character after Agent 47.
