Destiny 2 has become a logical continuation of the first part from the Bungie company, with the possibility of conquering space and protecting your home planet from aliens who launched a full-scale invasion.
The project is known for its advanced graphics, regular updates of game zones and raids, the release of new locations, the latest actual stages that players go through, and have become crota’s end carry.
Destiny 2 will definitely appeal to players who are looking for an MMO shooter with a high level of social dependence and, at the same time, with the opportunity to shoot since such projects always require not only good and up-to-date equipment but also high level of shooting.
What Destiny 2 might appeal to players
- Genre shooter
- Open world and space exploration
- Possibility to play in a small group
- Strike and raid system
- PVP mode
- Regular updates
Genre shooter
There are very few good shooters that have the option of constant character development and not sessional confrontation, so Destiny 2 will definitely appeal to all fans of shooting and constantly strengthening the hero with new weapons and equipment.
The project has implemented a headshot system, so well-aimed and attentive players can speed up their pumping and increase the final damage to strong monsters and bosses, as well as increase the final damage to enemies in PVP.
Open world and space exploration
Destiny 2 is considered an open space world in which the player can access many locations, including other planets such as Neptune, which was added in the Lightfall update.
Players will have access to the main city, which was built by the Titans and is the starting point for all adventures. It makes great sense for the storyline because it is not only the NPCs who are responsible for its safety but also all the heroes who choose the appropriate class for the game.
Possibility to play in a small group
Destiny 2 has a system of three classes that differ in special skills and principles of use, and you can also play in small groups of three players who will close all the key options in raids and during the grind, as well as help in the strike system, which is calculated on the passage alone, or as part of a small group.
Unlike most MMOs, you can even complete difficult raids with a minimum number of participants, but be prepared for difficulties and a long process of clearing territories and bosses since the optimal composition is at least five heroes.
Strike and raid system
One of the nice mechanics in Destiny 2 is the mechanics of raids and strikes and the ability to clear alone or as part of a small group, but you can increase the number of participants if you wish.
Strikes are mini-raids, small areas that you need to clear and move on to the boss, which can drop various rewards, equipment, and mid-level weapons that will help you gain access to more valuable and difficult raids.
If you wish, you can clean up the strikes yourself, but be careful and attentive because three participants are needed for a comfortable game, so try not to get on the rampage and be sure to destroy the entire retinue so as not to bring yourself into danger.
Raids are considered more dangerous, as they have various mechanics that often need to be leveled with the help of allies, and not only at the expense of one’s own forces.
For example, activate two spheres so that the boss takes damage – you simply cannot do this alone and will be defeated, and together, you will not be able to deal damage consistently.
The optimal composition for classic, heroic, and mythic raids is a minimum of 5 people, but you can try with three people if you have good teamwork, communication, and a sufficient level of equipment.
To get into a standard raid, you need to reach the specified level and have a general equipment level comparable to the entry requirements.
Heroic-level raids require more valuable items of equipment and weapons, and it is recommended to supplement the fire team. It is worth noting that there will be more enemies, and the boss itself will become much more deadly than in the main part of the raid, which is essentially a trial version.
Mythic is the most complex and demanding format in terms of equipment, but at the same time, it will bring the best versions of the drop of all possible, including legendary weapons and armor.
The boss will simply rage use his deadly skills and new mechanics much more often. You need to take a lot of action to win and recruit a real fire team that can handle the new load.
PVP Mode
D2 has interesting PvP battle modes where everyone can test their strength against other heroes and get special badges to enhance equipment and rare, seasonal rewards.
One of the most interesting mods is Trial of Osiris.
This is a team competition between different groups of three players for a set of victories in a row and receiving rare seasonal rewards that are randomly generated.
It can be a weapon or an item of equipment, but either way, it will be an extremely useful buff for any hero to aim for.
For players, this is a great opportunity to play as part of a group and compete in short rounds against other players, where for a victory, the count of wins in a row starts, and when you lose, the counter is reset, but the matches go so fast that it makes no sense to bother with defeats.
You need to play well, correctly distribute the forces of the group depending on the selected composition, and regularly use grenades to knock enemies out of cover. For each round, you will have no more than 90 seconds, so do not try to go into full defense.
For the right to receive seasonal rewards, you need to get three, five, or seven victories in a row for the most valuable trophy – weapons or armor, which changes depending on the season. Often, these are useful items that will find use in any class.
Regular updates
Destiny 2 constantly receives updates and regularly replenishes its playable areas with new planets and locations.
The downside is that each update is sold separately, and some of the old ones are then recycled, and lose access to them.
The latest Lightfall update brought major changes and added Neptune to the list of planets available to visit and explore, and the list of subclasses was replenished with the Stand.
For hunters, this is a ritual weapon with a long-range and short-range principle of action.
For warlocks – shelling the territory with shrapnel.
For Titans – the ability to put special daggers on gloves and crush enemies, followed by bleeding.
