Surfers, however, must take their activities with caution, as the threat of sharks loom in every wave. The app can make it a hundred percent safe (or at least, close to it) for surfers and even swimmers. As soon as it detects any signs of sharks, nearby authorities such as lifeguards and supervisors leap into action.
A Better Spotter
The advantages of using a drone for spotting are numerous. First, they are cheaper than renting helicopters to patrol the beaches. They cost less, giving the opportunity for the beach management to get more.
More patrols mean less incidents involving shark attacks threatening swimmers unexpectedly. Another advantage is that it flies, compared to lifeguards who need to remain on land. A flying eye in the sky can see more, from a higher vantage point. This creates a larger covered area, giving swimmers a larger place to go without fears of any danger.
Makers of the Shark Drone app hopes to make this a worldwide application. Shark infested waters can be dangerous. With the proper monitoring, everyone can remain safe while still enjoying the blue seas and sunny skies.
