Emergency Department Drones:
According to the study, over 900 public safety sectors now own or operate a drone. These drones act as scouts, surveyors, or simply eyes in the sky. In case of an emergency, you can rest easier knowing emergency responders have air support ready. These sectors include Local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, and even Search and Rescue.
The past few months alone provided newsworthy headlines that showed great increase in efficiency with drones at the ready. Drones act as an extra set of eyes in the field. The number provided by the study at the Bard College’s Center for the Study of the Drone creates an interesting fact. There had been an increase in drone demand of over 80% in public sectors compared to last year’s numbers alone. Even now more and more departments globally show interest in acquiring one or two drones for their arsenal.
