Couple Using Drone to Sell Drugs Endangers Child

In Riverside, California, a drone was allegedly used to deliver drugs to people waiting outside of a church in the area.
After the delivery of the drugs, the people who picked them up would drive by a home and throw or place cash in the garden.
Neighbours claim to have seen strange activity in and around the house, and told the pair to stop several times, but they began using drones to avoid suspicion.
To the department’s surprise, they found a 9-year-old child living in that house, surrounded by drugs wherever she went in the house. They even found drugs in the girl’s bedroom.
The police found many different kinds of drugs, including LSD, meth, and fentanyl.
The girl’s father, Benjamin Baldassarre, 39, and Ashley Carroll, 31, were arrested on several felonies, including child endangerment and drug possession and distribution.
Officer Ryan Railsback said that the Riverside Police Department had never seen anything like this before.
The young girl was taken to live with her mother, as she had been living with Baldassarre for some time.
Police were able to discover the drone use and ultimately save the little girl from the alleged drug house by conducting surveillance in the area. Officers were able to witness a drone fly around and drop off what could have been drugs in the church parking lot.
The mother divorced Baldassarre for a number of reasons, including drug use, and she had wanted sole custody of her daughter.
She spent the last seven years trying to get sole custody, but she was making no progress. At the time of the divorce, Jaclyn Baldassarre had asked the judge to demand her ex husband go to rehab, and that all visits between him and the child be supervised, but the judge dismissed her concerns.
The mother claims that her daughter was too disturbed by the events at the house to discuss what happened.
Her fear was understandable, because at the end of the day, the man arrested was still her father.
