Drone Captures Footage of California’s Apple Park

The Apple Park in Cupertino, California, is both a great place to work, and a fantastic place for Apple customers to purchase merchandise from the tech giant. Five years ago, the late Steve Jobs shared his vision for the Apple Park with Cupertino officials, and it was not long before his vision was realized.
The Apple Park is shaped like a space station, making it an interesting piece of architecture. When Steve Job pitched his idea, it was important to him that the park would be able be as green as possible; one of the features of the park is a pond you can find in the center of one of the buildings. The roof of that building is covered in stars and other celestial bodies, adding another element of nature to the space.

The drone was able to capture footage to show how the building takes safety and security very seriously, with security areas located everywhere to ensure that anyone who visits the park will be safe. The main building of the Apple Park is almost complete, and thanks to Matthew Roberts’ drone footage released regularly, people all over the world have been able to monitor the progress of its construction. His footage coupled with his text updates have been great at generating publicity for Apple Park.

In early 2017, a few employees were moved to the Apple Park while it was still undergoing construction. As of the release of Roberts’ footage, it appears that there is very little left to complete, and it looks like cosmetic features such as designing and planting gardens, are all that’s left.
Roberts’ footage and updates allows the public to see the care Apple gives to their employees, and their commitment to building green spaces. The Apple Park is open to tourists, though currently they can only purchase merchandise or have a warm beverage—and if you are not one of those tourists, at least you have the stunning drone footage to show you the amazing park up close.
