Whether it’s a cold winter evening or a cool summer night, a soak in the hot tub just feels right. I may not be a fan of getting wet at the beach or even at the pool but I have zero issues with hot tubs. There are lots of options for hot tubs from simple inflatable ones to portable ones to fancy ones that may require a payment plan. And then there are the unique ones which you don’t see as often such as the Alfi Fire Hot Tub. Yes, this hot tub heats the water with burning wood!
If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s like to be an ingredient in a soup, then this is the hot tub you’ve been waiting for! This hot tub is double the fun for me because not only do I like hot tubs but I love camp fires as well. If you have a remote cabin with no access to electricity, something like this would be ideal if dipping in a hot tub is a must for you.
To use the hot tub, you simply fill the tub with water from a garden hose, lake, creek, or whatever your water source is. There is a wire basket attached which houses the firewood and the basket can be raised or lowered to adjust the temperature of the water.
The water is pushed through metal coil which is wrapped around the wire basket for the firewood. The water enters from the bottom, and moves around the coil as it heats up and back into the tub at the top. The hot tub has a 200 gallon capacity and includes a clear top cover with two chrome handles. You can also attach a stainless steel windscreen panel between the the fire and the hot tub in case the heat from the flame is too intense.
Depending on the starting temperature of the water, it may take up to two hours to heat the water up so make sure you plan accordingly. The Alfi Fire Hot Tub comes in light blue, orange, olive green, and yellow. Unfortunately, the prices change depending on the color you choose: $2,999 for the Light Blue, $3,499 for the Yellow, $3,541 for the Orange, and $3,891 for the Olive Green.
