If you’re the type of person who owns a dedicated sound card, then I think it’s fair to assume that you want the very best audio quality. You’re no doubt a gamer or audio enthusiast, and chances are you even own one of Creative’s dedicated sound card offerings. After all, they are one of the biggest in the business…
But there’s a slight problem: Creative isn’t all that great about, you know… keeping the drivers up to date. It’s like Creative just likes to do the bare minimum, and what do you think of a company that only likes to do the bare minimum? Well, that’s where PAX comes into the picture. Mr. PAX wears plenty of flair, because he cares about your audio experience.
The Glory of PAX Drivers
PAX is a set of aftermarked modded drivers for Creative soundcards, and a handful of other dedicated sound cards as well. They’re like that tricked out spoiler you have on your car, but even better, because they actually do something. The fellow who maintains them is frequently experimenting to improve the sound quality, and it shows. We interviewed over a dozen audio enthusiasts (note: this is a lie) and all of them agreed, PAX Drivers are pretty damn amazing.
If you’re interested in giving them a try, then head over to the official forums and browse around for the correct driver for your sound card. Installation couldn’t be easier, and I promise you… you’re going to notice an immediate improvement to the sound quality coming out of your speakers or headphones.

If you’ve read all of this and are wondering what the hell I’m talking about, well… you can pick up a Creative Recon3D sound card for about $100 USD on Amazon or Walmart. It’s not a bad deal for a killer audio setup.

Few my good new friends we found way improving sound also and installing them better too. I been working on improving drivers since 2004 I think :). loss track of time lol.
