There’s been a ton of buzz surrounding Google Glass recently, and for good reason. In short, it looks absolutely amazing… a product poised to revolutionize the way we interact with friends, the internet, and even our environment.
But up until recently details have been scarce. We’ve seen the odd runway photo of a model wearing the device, and the occasional tidbit of information, but not really much to go on. Thankfully, that all changed just a few days ago when Google decided to launch a good and proper website for the damn things. They even show a video full of skydiving, circus performances, and other bouts of insanity. But if you’re looking for more information that’s a bit more, shall we say, down to earth, then check out this video preview.
The Verge Talks Google Glass
In this segment from The Verge, journalist Joshua Topolsky speaks with a few of the minds behind the Google Glass project, and actually gets to play around with the device as well. It’s a short but interesting watch… a taste of things to come.

Other than the technology itself, what really surprised and excited me was the news of Google Glass hitting the market before the end of this year. The months are already racing past, and wouldn’t it be great to get a hold of one of these things before Christmas? We’ll then have the perfect means to record hilarious bedroom videos, and make ourselves look awkward infront of the numerous strangers we interact with in any given week. Yes, I’m quite looking forward to the experience.
Buying Google Glass
As I wrote out this header, something dawned on me. Where exactly will Google choose to sell their newfangled glasses? Through their website? In box stores? Through cellular retailers? I’m honestly curious. So for the moment I have absolutely no idea, but you can be sure of one thing… the moment I have more details, I’ll share them with you first. That’s how much I like you.
