Sony and Microsoft are forever at war and constantly putting on new twists on products that remain the same internally for the most part. I’m referring to various versions of the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 Slim. This time, I’m talking about the Sony 320 GB PS3 Slim Consoles that are now available in Scarlet Red and Splash Blue.
Earlier in the year, Sony revealed a very cool looking Silver PlayStation 3 Slim. And just like that version, the latest colored versions have no added features other than the eye-catching colors with matching controllers. The latest versions will be going on sale in Japan on November 17th, 2011 and will cost roughly $390 USD.
Whether you can pick them up in North America and Europe is another story which PS3 fans are all too familiar with. As a side note, a special white edition of the PS3 Slim will be available for purchase in Australia on November 1st, 2011. And the white version is also not available for us North Americans. I guess we can cross our fingers and hope for the best but expect the worst.
As for the rest of us, well… we can order a regular one on Walmart.
well, i already seen both of them in person but i have to say that the Splash Blue PS3 is beautiful and the red one is very different from the pictures shown above. At first my choice was the red one but after seeing it, i was disappointed. it looks very crappy.
I’ll get the Splash Blue PS3. Love that metallic finish.
